Corporate Social Responsibility


Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has emerged as a significant movement in SAMONYU Group. Our sustainability and CSR initiatives are focused on four (4) key areas:

Community Engagement

As a member of the local community, we proactively engage our team to create a greater sense of shared value and ownership. We are committed to helping advance and positively impact the lives of the people and communities whom we can reach out. We aim to contribute to the social and economic development of local communities by providing our support in terms of food and emergency aids.

Environment

We are committed to creating environmentally responsible and resource-efficient operation facilities as part of our company’s green policy. This includes reducing our overall plastic footprint. To protect the environment, we have introduced more sustainable materials on our food packaging, energy saving operation ecology and leverage on technology for our sales and marketing strategy.

Employee Development

We have numerous programs to support employee development and leadership succession. We provide a conducive working environment which fosters a strong learning culture, equal access to opportunities, performance-based remuneration and reward systems within the organisation. We believe in nurturing young talents and are open to ideas and act on feedback.

We adhere to the ethical business practices and focus on sustainability, responsible sourcing in the widest sense. We are proactive to ensure responsible sourcing and procurement activities, and do not tarnish the reputation of the seafood industry.
